My grandfather passed away a few years ago and in a few days it will be the anniversary of his passing. There are suggestions here on what you can do to remember a loved one, but here are some of the ways my family has remembered him on the day:
Eating their favorite meals and/or drinking their favorite drinks, watching their favorite movie or show, going to one of their favorite spots, doing one of their favorite activities, and just talking about them (maybe sharing a funny story or a happy memory). My grandfather also loved Life is Good T-shirts, so my family will all wear them on that day.
I also think it’s important to reach out to other people the person was closed too; their family, best friend, child, etc. You aren’t the only one grieving and it’s meaningful to receive a message like that.
